Pocahontas - Flit Original Production Used Rough Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1995).
It is a early development/character study drawing of Flit from Walt Disney's 33rd animated feature film, Pocahontas. In the film, Flit is a ruby-throated hummingbird who is a friend of Pocahontas. A character study is a series of illustrations that have been created to explore an animated character, after the character has been conceptualized. It acts as a comprehensive guide to map out character traits and "proof of concept." Proof of Concept in animation is the first stage of any character study definition. It is called this because the animator must prove that the character can emote in a way that would make an audience care, empathize and relate.
The drawing is rendered in blue and red pencil on 16 field animation paper. Condition : See photos.
