Sleeping Beauty - Original "Tipsy Lute-Playing Minstrel" Production Drawing (Walt Disney, 1959).
This wonderful original production drawing feature the lute-playing lackey from Walt Disney's Sleeping Beauty (1959), a scene-stealing character animated by Disney Legend John Lounsbery, one of "Walt's Nine Old Men". Lounsbery's masterful ability to bring life and humor to secondary characters shines in this tipsy minstrel, whose wobbly, exaggerated movements add a delightful touch of comedy to the royal celebration. Appearing in King Stefan's castle during the grand banquet, the lackey indulges in too much wine, transforming from a proper musician into an unsteady, drunken performer. His carefree strumming and stumbling antics provide a hilarious contrast to the otherwise regal gathering, making him one of the film's most entertaining minor characters. This production drawing was illustrated in graphite over red pencil on 16-field animation paper. This exhibit age-related toning and edge wear from production use but remain in Good condition-a rare and charming addition to any Disney animation collection!
Size : 40 x 31 cm
The drawing is sold unframed.
